Adobe Acrobat Reader

Are you experiencing problems viewing or printing a PDF file with Internet Explorer.

Below are 3 options that may help?

OPTION 1 - (easiest) "Right-Click" on the PDF link and select the "Save Target As ..." or "Save Link As ..." option. The PDF file may be viewed with Acrobat after downloading it to your local drive.

OPTION 2 - (permanent > modify your IE settings) Click" on TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS (or access from the Control Panel). Click on SECURITY and then TRUSTED SITES. Click on SITES. After making sure that the box labeled "Require server verification (https) ... " is unchecked, add the Peacekeeper URL (http://www.usspeacekeeper.org) into the list of trusted sites. Then, modify the security settings for the trusted sites by enabling the three Active -X options at the top of the list. Save these settings and close the options window by clicking OK to the prompts. This modification to your computer settings will not affect web viewing on other sites not listed in the Trusted Sites of your security settings for Internet Explorer.

OPTION 3 - (works on some computers) Correct the Acrobat/Web Browser issue by configuring Acrobat as a "Helper Application". (This action will not affect Netscape.) To configure Acrobat or Acrobat Reader as a helper application:
1. Exit from your web browser.
2. Start Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.
3. Choose Edit > Preferences > General (Acrobat 5.0 or Acrobat Reader 5.0) or choose File > Preferences > General (Acrobat 4.x or Acrobat Reader 4.x).
4. In the Options section, deselect Display PDF in Browser (Acrobat 5.0 or Acrobat Reader 5.0) or deselect Web Browser Integration (Acrobat 4.x or Acrobat Reader 4.x).
5. Click OK, and then exit from Acrobat or Acrobat Reader.
6. Restart your web browser.
Note: The next time you select a link to a PDF file in your web browser, a dialog box will prompt you to specify what to do with the file. If you select "Open this file from its current location," your web browser will open the PDF file in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader as a helper application. If you select "Save this file to disk," your web browser saves the PDF file to your hard disk, from where you can open it later.
